By public transport

From Nijmegen Central Station you can walk to De Bastei in 20 minutes. Follow the signs 'Valkhofpark' in an easterly direction. You can also take the bus from the station to De Bastei:

Then you walk towards the Waalkade along the Valkhofpark to De Bastei in 4 minutes, via the Veerpoort stairs or the outside lift at the casino.

If you want to avoid the difference in height between Valkhof and Waalkade, get off the bus earlier at the Waalkade stop. Then you walk to De Bastei in 5 minutes: walk past the casino and then turn right. Cross the square, you can already see our entrance building on the left.

Parking for people with disabilities is usually free in Nijmegen

If you have a disability and you have a disabled parking card, you don't need to get a parking ticket at most parking machines. Make sure that the disabled parking card is sufficiently visible behind the windscreen.

When do you have to pay?

Due to the technology, you only have to pay with a disabled parking card in the parking garages and parking areas that are closed with a barrier. Of course there are places here for people with disabilities that are easier to reach.

The nearest parking facility is at the Waalkade and parking garage Kelfkensbos (4 parking spaces for people with disabilities). Click here for more information.
